Laurence Fishburne to Leave CBS’ CSI: Crime Scene Investigation

Tony Award winner Laurence Fishburne will leave CBS’ CSI: Crime Scene Investigation at the end of the current season, according to a report on Deadline.com.

Fishburne joined the series — which centers on an elite team of Las Vegas police forensic evidence investigation experts — in 2008, playing Dr. Raymond Langston.

Fishburne won a Tony Award for his performance in August Wilson’s Two Trains Running. In addition, he received a Tony Award nomination for his performance in Thurgood. Among his film credits are his Academy Award nominated turn in What’s Love Got to Do With It?, as well as The Matrix series, Mystic River, Apocalypse Nowand Event Horizon, among others.
