Donald Sutherland to Join Woody Harrelson, Jennifer Lawrence, et al. in Hunger Games Film

Donald Sutherland will play the role of President Snow in the forthcoming Lionsgate film adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ trilogy, The Hunger Games, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
He will join the previously reported theater veterans Woody Harrelson as Haymitch Abernathy, Stanley Tucci as Caesar Flickerman and Wes Bentley as Seneca Crane, along with Oscar nominee Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen, Josh Hutcherson as Peeta, Elizabeth Banks as Effie, and Liam Hemsworth as Gale. The cast also features Lenny Kravitz and Paula Malcolmson.
Sutherland’s Broadway credits include Lolita and Buck White, and he last appeared on the New York stage in 2001 in Jon Robin Baitz’s Ten Unknowns, for which he received Lucille Lortel and Outer Critics Circle nominations.
