Oscar Isaac, Jessica Lange Set for Therese Raquin Film

Oscar Isaac and Jessica Lange will be featured in a new film version of Therese Raquin, based on the 19th-century play and novel by Emile Zola, according to a report on Deadline.com.

Charlie Stratton, who helmed a 1995 version of the play, will direct the film from his adapted script.

The story, set in Paris, revolves around a young woman who embarks on affair and conspires with the man to murder her husband – who is also her first cousin. The cast will also include Elizabeth Olsen and Tom Felton.


Isaac’s stage credits include We Live Here, Grace, and Beauty of the Father. Among his film are Drive, Robin Hood, Body of Lies, Sucker Punch, and W.E..

Lange won Oscars for her performances in Tootsie and Blue Sky, and an an for her Emmy Award for her portrayal of Edith Bouvier in HBO’s Grey Gardens. On stage, she’s been seen in A Streetcar Named Desire and The Glass Menagerie on Broadway and in the West End.
