Alan Alda, Hugh Dancy, Parker Posey to Appear on Showtime’s The Big C

Alan Alda, Hugh Dancy, and Parker Posey will guest star on Showtime’s The Big C, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Alda is scheduled to play Dr. Sherman, an oncologist whom Cathy Jamison (Laura Linney) consults after her previous treatment failed; Dancy will play Lee, a cancer patient who befriends Cathy during a clinical drug trail; and Posey will play Poppy, an older woman who develops an unlikely relationship with Cathy’s teenaged son Adam (Gabriel Basso).

The series second season is set to begin on June 27.
