Cast Set for DouglasPlus Venice

Casting has been announced for the staged workshop of Venice, the new hip-hop musical from Matt Sax and Eric Rosen, which will close this year’s DouglasPlus program at the Kirk Douglas Theatre, April 15-18.

The piece is about betrayal and politics in a post-Apocalyptic world, and is loosely based on Shakespeare’s Othello. The cast will feature Sax along with Erica Ash, Malcolm Barrett, Bryan Terrell Clark, J.D. Goldblatt, Kelly Karbacz, Melina Lizette, Victoria Platt, Brett Ryback, and Cedric Sanders. The production will also feature musical direction by Steve Landau and sound design by Josh Horvath.
