Orlando Bloom, Malcolm McDowell, and Matthew Rhys will join the Los Angeles Philharmonic for a concert series featuring Tchaikovsky’s Shakespeare-inspired music, according to a report in Los Angeles Times. Kate Burton will serve as the stage director and host the events, running March 10-13 at Walt Disney Concert Hall, which will be conducted by Gustavo Dudamel.

Bloom is scheduled to perform selections from Romeo and Juliet, while Rhys will read from Hamlet and McDowell will deliver pieces from The Tempest. The concert program will feature Tchaikovsky’s overture-fantasies inspired by these three plays.

In addition to news of the performers’ involvement, it has been announced that the March 13 concert will be broadcast live to movie houses around the U.S. and Canada.
