Kerry Washington and Tony Goldwyn to Star in Shonda Rhimes’ Damage Control Pilot for ABC

Broadway veterans Kerry Washington and Tony Goldwyn will star in Damage Control, an ABC drama pilot by Shonda Rhimes, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The pilot is based on the career of crisis management consultant Judy Smith. The pilot will also star Guillermo Diaz, Columbus Short, Henry Ian Cusick, and Katie Lowes.

Washington starred on Broadway last season in David Mamet’s Race, and recent films include Tyler Perry’s For Colored Girls, based on Ntozake Shange’s award-winning 1975 play For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf.

Goldwyn most recently appeared on stage in the Broadway revival of Promises, Promises, and is well known for his film and television work, including Ghost.
