Julia Roberts to Receive American Society of Cinematographers 2011 Board of Governors Award

Julia Roberts will receive the American Society of Cinematographers 2011 Board of Governors Award, according to a report in The Hollywood Reporter. The honor, given to individuals for advancing the art and craft of filmmaking, will be presented during the 25th annual ASC Outstanding Achievement Awards to be held on February 13 at the Hollywood & Highland Grand Ballroom.

Roberts made her Broadway debut in Richard Greenburg’s Three Days of Rain. For her film work, she received an Academy Award for her performance in Erin Brockovich and was nominated for Oscars for her work in Steel Magnolias and Pretty Woman. She recently starred in Eat Pray Love and will be seen this summer in Larry Crowne.
