Michelle Danner to Star in Modern Adaptation of Ibsen’s Ghosts

Michelle Danner will star as Mrs. Helen Alving in a modern adaptation of Henrik Ibsen’s Ghosts, at the Second Stage of Edgemar Center for the Arts in Santa Monica, March 3-April 8. Doug Kaback has adapted the play, and will direct.

In the play, Helen’s struggle with the ghosts of her past is about to come to an end. For 29 years, she has kept a dark secret. Now, with her son Osvald finally home after many years abroad, a triumphant new life begins. But her spiritual liberation is about to meet a catastrophic fate.

The cast will also include James Giordano, Nate Golon and Lucy Honigman.

Danner is artistic director of Edgemar Center for the Arts, and a well known Hollywood acting coach. She is also director of the upcoming film Hello Herman, starring Norman Reedus.
