Joel Edgerton Joins Kathryn Bigelow Film

Stage and screen star Joel Edgerton has joined the cast of Oscar winner Kathryn Bigelow’s untitled new film, which revolves around the Navy Seal team that killed Osama Bin Laden, according to Variety.

Edgerton appeared on the New York stage as Stanley Kowalski opposite Cate Blanchett in A Streetcar Named Desire. His many Australian stage credits include Henry V and The Pillowman.

His film credits include King Arthur, The Waiting City, Warrior, and the upcoming The Great Gatsby, in which he plays Tom Buchanan.

According to reports, Jason Clarke and Chris Pratt have already signed to star in the film, while Edgar Ramirez, Mark Strong, and Jessica Chastain are negotiating to join the cast.
