The benefit will include a cocktail reception, followed by a light dinner, auction, a performance of Evidence founder Ronald K. Brown's piece Better Days, dessert, and the company's signature "Dancing with the Dancers."

Dee's many Broadway credits include A Raisin in the Sun, Anna Lucasta, Purlie Victorious, Jeb and Checkmates, and she received Drama Desk Awards for her work in Wedding Band and Boesman and Lena. She earned an Oscar nomination for American Gangster and an Emmy Award for Decoration Day, among numerous other honors.

Brown is currently represented on Broadway as the choreographer of the Tony Award-winning The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess.
