Andrew Lloyd Webber Withdraws Four West End Theaters from Sale
Andrew Lloyd Webber will not, as previously reported, sell four of his West End theaters to a consortium led by former ITV chairman Michael Grade, according to a report on the website for the U.K. magazine The Stage. The venues involved in the sale had been the Palace, Her Majesty’s, Cambridge and New London.
A question of whether the consortium would be able to fulfill one of the theaters’ longstanding contracts has led Webber’s Really Useful Group to withdraw from the agreement.
