West End Production of Hair to Close September 4

The West End production of Hair, playing at the Gielgud Theatre, will close on September 4, according to a report on Whatsonstage.com. The production, directed by Diane Paulus and choreographed by Karole Armitage, had been booking through January 8.

With book and lyrics by James Rado and Gerome Ragni and music by Galt MacDermot, the show features Sasha Allen (Dionne), Allison Case (Crissy), Luther Creek (Woof), Gavin Creel (Claude), Caissie Levy (Sheila), Darius Nichols (Hud), Kacie Sheik (Jeanie), and Will Swenson (Berger), along with Ato Blankson-Wood, Steel Burkhardt, Matt DeAngelis, Lauren Elder, Allison Guinn, Phyre Hawkins, Anthony Hollock, Crystal Joy, Kevin Kern, Kaitlin Kiyan, Andrew Kober, Megan Lawrence, John Moauro, Brandon Pearson, Megan Reinking, Michael James Scott, Hannah Shankman and Maya Sharpe.

The creative team includes Scott Pask (scenic design), Michael McDonald (costume design), Kevin Adams (lighting design), and Acme Sound Partners (sound design).
