Michael Arden, Katherine Kingsley to Star in Aspects of Love at Menier Chocolate Factory

Michael Arden and Katherine Kingsley will star in Andrew Lloyd Webber, Don Black and Charles Hart’s Aspects of Love, to run July 7 – September 26 at the Menier Chocolate Factory. As previously announced, Trevor Nunn will direct the production, which will feature choreography by Lynne Page.

Based on David Garnett’s novel of the same name, the musical tells the story of Alex Dillingham (Arden), a young student traveling through France, who falls in love with the alluring actress Rose Vibert (Kingsley). As the pair embark on a passionate affair, the unexpected arrival of Alex’s uncle changes their lives forever. Further casting will be announced shortly.

The production will feature designs by David Farley, lighting by Paul Pyant, musical supervision by Caroline Humphris, orchestrations by David Cullen, and sound by Gareth Owen.

Arden has been seen on Broadway in Big River and The Times They Are A-Changing. His Off-Broadway credits include Swimming in the Shallows, Bare, As You Like It, and The Winter’s Tale. His television and film credits include Bones, Numbers and Grey’s Anatomy as well as Bride Wars and The Good Shepherd.

Kingsley is currently appearing in the U.K. tour of The 39 Steps. Her other theater credits include her Olivier-nominated performance in Piaf, The Truth Will Out, The Black and White Ball, Hobson’s Choice, and High Society. Her film credits include Weekend, Days of the Siren, and 100 Second Marriage.
