Tony and Olivier Award winner Margaret Tyzack will join the cast of the popular BBC soap opera, EastEnders.
She will play the role of Lydia Simmonds, the maternal grandmother of Janine (played by Charlie Brooks).
Tyzack won the Tony Award for her performance in Lettice and Lovage and Oliviers for Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and The Chalk Garden.
