Joely Richardson to Star in The Lady from the Sea in London

Joely Richardson will star in Henrik Ibsen’s The Lady from the Sea, to run February 23 – March 17 at the Rose Theatre. Stephen Unwin will direct the production.

The play centers on a woman who has found herself stifled in the mountainous home she’s shared with her husband and his daughters.

Richardson’s numerous stage credits include Lady Windemere’s Fan, Miss Julie, Macbeth, Worlds Apart, Every Man in His Humor, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream in London, and most recently, Side Effects, Off-Broadway. In addition, she won a Golden Globe and received two Emmy Award nominations for her portrayal of Julia McNamara on Nip/Tuck. On film, she has been seen in such movies as The Last Mimzy, The Affair of the Necklace, The Patriot, and Maybe Baby, as well as the forthcoming Anonymous, The Girl With the Dragon Tatoo, and Red Lights.
