Calendar Girls to Open in West End on April 4

Tim Firth’s Calendar Girls will open at West End’s Noel Coward Theatre on April 4, after the conclusion of a two-month UK tour. The run is currently scheduled through June 27. The production will be directed by Olivier Award winner Hamish McColl, and will have a set by Robert Jones, with lighting by Malcolm Rippeth, costumes by Emma Williams, and music by Steve Parry.

Firth adapted his own screenplay for the 2003 film about a group of middle-aged English women who pose for a racy calendar.

The show will star Lynda Bellingham, Patricia Hodge, Sian Phillips, Gaynor Faye, Brigit Forsyth, Julia Hills, Elaine C Smith, Joan Blackham, Abby Francis, Gary Lilburn, Gerard McDermot, and Carl Prekopp.
