Reasons to Be Cheerful

Reasons to Be Cheerful, which takes its title from Ian Dury and the Blockheads’ 1979 single of the same name, will run at east London’s Theatre Royal Stratford East, October 22-November 13, after a brief run at the New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich, according to Whatsonstage.com. The production will be directed by Jenny Sealey.

Featuring a book by Paul Sirrett, the show focuses on.Vinnie and his friends, who are big Dury fans but don’t have tickets to his sold-out concert at the Hammersmith Odeon. Events then take a surprising turn.

The show will feature Nadia Albina, Stephen Collins, Stephen Lloyd, Daniel McGowan, Garry Robson and Karen Spicer, who are backed by a six-piece band.
