Frances Ruffelle to Bring Beneath the Dress to the West End in September

Tony Award winner Frances Ruffelle will offer a one-night-only performance of her solo show Frances Ruffelle: Beneath the Dress at the Garrick Theatre on September 12 at 8pm.

The singer, accompanied by a six-piece band, will perform songs by Cole Porter, Duke Ellington and Kurt Weill, along with numbers by lesser-known songwriters whose work has inspired her.

Ruffelle won a Tony Award for her performance as Eponine in Les Miserables, a role that she originated in the U.K. Her other stage credits include Chicago, Children of Eden, and Starlight Express, among others. In concert, she has performed with Jason Robert Brown and played London’s Ronnie Scott’s with her Big Band. She has released four solo albums, and will be releasing her newest, Imperfectly Me, in September.
