Nowhere Boy, Sam Taylor-Wood’s feature film about John Lennon’s childhood starring theater veterans Anne-Marie Duff and Kristin Scott Thomas, will get its world premiere at the BFI Times London Film Festival in October, according to Variety.

The film, written by Matt Greenhalgh, will star Aaron Johnson as the young Lennon, while Duff will play Lennon’s mother, and Thomas will portray his aunt Mimi.

Thomas starred on Broadway as Arkadina in The Seagull, and won the Olivier Award for the role in London. She is scheduled to appear in a Paris production of A Little Night Music in 2010. Duff’s credits include the title role in St. Joan at the National, and she is best known for her work in the British television series Shameless.
