The Young Vic has announced the lineup of productions to be presented during the 2010-2011 season, which will open with the U.K. premiere of Galt MacDermot’s musical version of William Saroyan’s The Human Comedy, according to a report on Whatsonstage.com. John Fulljames will direct the production, which will run September 13-18 in the theater’s main house.

Other productions in this space will include Vesturport’s circus-inspired retelling of Goethe’s Faust (September 24 – October 30), directed by Gisli Orn Garoarsson and featuring music by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis; and a production of Tennessee Williams’ The Glass Menagerie (November 11 – January 1). In the new year, Tanya Ronder’s adaptation of DBC Pierre’s novel Vernon God Little (February 7 – March 5) will return to the theater in a production directed by Rufus Norris, and Tom Randle and Pamela Helen Stephen are scheduled to star in Monteverdi’s The Return of Ulysses (March 24 – April 9), directed by Benedict Andrews. The final offering in the main house for the year will be I Am the Wind (April 26 – May 21), which Simon Stephens has adapted from a play by Jon Fosse and which will be directed by Patrice Chereau.

The schedule for the Young Vic’s Maria Studio, where work for young people is offered, will include two productions from the company Fevered Sleep: On Ageing (September 27 – October 9) and And the Rain Fall’s Down (February 24 – March 12), as well as a holidaytime offering from David Almond, My Dad’s a Birdman (November 30 – January 1).
