Rupert Everett, Honeysuckle Weeks, Kathryn Evans, et al. Set for Chichester Festival

Additional casting has been announced for this year’s Chichester Festival, according to Whatsonstage.com.

The Chichester Festival’s revival of George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion (July 9- August 27), to be directed by Philip Prowse, will star Rupert Everett (Henry Higgins), Honeysuckle Weeks (Eliza Doolitle), Phil Davis (Alfred Doolittle), Peter Eyre (Colonel Pickering), Peter Sandys-Clarke (Freddy Eynsford-Hill), Candida Benson (Clara Eynsford-Hill), and Stephanie Cole (Mrs Higgins).

The festival’s production of the musical 42nd Street (May 29-June 26), to be directed by Paul Kerryson, will feature Kathryn Evans (Dorothy Brock), Tim Flavin (Julian Marsh), Lauren Hall (Peggy Sawyer), Oliver Brenin (Billy Lawlor), Peter McCarthy (Oscar), Alan Burkitt (Andy Lee), Lisa Donmall (Ann Reilly), Steve Fortune (Abner Dillon), Steven Houghton (Pat Denning), Chris Howell (Bert Barry), Lucinda Lawrence (Gladys), David Lucas (Mac), Kate Nelson (Phyllis Dale), Louise Plowright (Maggie Jones), Pippa Raine (Lorraine Fleming), Helen Wei George (Ethel), Jason Winter, Karen Aspinall, Matthew Cheney, Matthew Malthouse, Jane Fowler, Luke Fetherston and Gary Wood.

Howard Goodall and Stephen Clark’s musical adaptation of Love Story (May 26- June 26), to be directed by Rachel Kavanaugh, will star Peter Polycarpou (Phil), Emma Williams (Jenny), Michael Xavier (Oliver IV), Claire Carrie (Alice), Keiron Crook (Tony/Young Doctor), Rob Edwards (Oliver Barrett III), Lillie Flynn (Ensemble) and Jos Slovick (Ensemble).

In addition to David Haig and Henry Goodman, Yes, Prime Minister (May 20 –June 5), adapted for the stage by Antony Jay and Jonathan Lynn, will feature William Chubb (Jeremy Burnham), Sam Dastor (Ambassador), Emily Joyce (Claire), Jonathan Slinger (Bernard) and Tim Wallers (Simon Chester).

Additionally, the double-bill of Richard Brinsley Sheridan’s The Critic and Tom Stoppard’s The Real Inspector Hound (July 9 – August 28) will feature Sean Foley (Sir Fretful and Major Magnus) and Nicholas Le Prevost (Dangle and Birdboot).
