Skylar Astin, Leslie Kritzer, Deirdre O’Connell, et al. Set for Powerhouse Season

As previously announced, the 2009 season will feature Joanna Murray-Smith’s Ninety, starring Sarita Choudhury and Kevin Kilner, to run June 30-July 12. The production will be directed by Maria Mileaf. The play concerns an art conservator who has exactly 90-minutes to convince her ex-husband, now a famous actor, that their marriage should be saved.

The season will also feature a mainstage production of Nathan Tysen and Chris Miller’s musical The Burnt Part Boys, to run July 17-26, to be directed by Erica Schmidt, with choreography by Peter Pucci and musical direction by Vadim Feichtner. The cast will feature Al Calderon, Skylar Astin, Noah Galvin, Andrew Durand, Molly Ransom, Joe Cassidy, Timothy Warmen, John Schiappa, and David Abeles.

The Martel Musicals series will begin with a presentation of Duncan Sheik and Kyle Powell’s musical Whisper House, July 10-11, which will feature Deirdre O’Connell, Matthew Lobenhofer, Arthur Acuna, Ted Koch, Gideon Banner, David Poe, and Holly Brook.

On July 31-August 1, the series continues with the musical Tina Girlstar by Anton Dudley, Charlie Sohne, and Brian Feinstein, to be directed by Jeremy Dobrish. The cast features Leslie Kritzer, Sandy Binion, Mariand Torres, Eric William Morris, Natalie Weiss, Deone Zanotto, Ronnica Redick, and Shelley Thomas.
