In the play, Parks riffs on The Scarlet Letter with the story of an outcast abortionist and her quest to reclaim her lost son in a post-apocalyptic future. The cast will star Jennifer Nelson as Hester, with Vince Brown as the Butcher, Jahi Kearse as Monster, Jjana Valentiner as the First Lady, Craig Wallace as the Mayor, and Ashley Ware as Canary. The ensemble will include JaBen A. Early, Tricia Homer, Brandon Hutzell, Vichelle Jones, Doborah Lubega, Matt MacNelly, Jeri Marshall, Jason B. McIntosh, Peter Pereya, Aaron Reeder, Michael Jammes Shaw, Natalie Tucker, and Mockolas A. Vaughan.
