Lindsay Czarniak, Brad Oscar, and More Set for Arena Stage Benefit

Lindsay Czarniak, anchor and reporter for Washington’s News4 Sports, will replace the previously announced Alice Ripley at Arena Stage’s annual benefit, to be held at Arena Stage in Crystal City, March 16. The change is due to the fact that Arena’s production of Next to Normal, which stars Ripley, is preparing to debut on Broadway.

The evening will include a dinner reception, live auction, and the original musical revue Arena Stage in Oz, written and directed by Michael Bobbitt. The show will be emceed by The Honorable William T. Newman, Jr, and will also feature the previously announced Brad Oscar, E’Faye Butler, Marva Hicks, Natasha Yvette Williams, and Diego Pietro.

The event will also include the giving out of The American Voice Award to outgoing Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts, Dana Gioia and The American Artist Award to Robert “Bob” Alexander, the founder and 30-year artistic director for Living Stage, Arena’s community outreach theater company.
