Maurice Hines, James Earl Jones, et al. Set for Arena Stage’s Swingin’ with Sophisticated Ladies Benefit

Maurice Hines and other cast members of Arena Stage’s production of Duke Ellington’s Sophisticated Ladies will perform and James Earl Jones and Representative Norman D. Dicks will be honored at Swingin’ with Sophisticated Ladies to be held on May 4 at The Lincoln Theatre. The benefit event will raise funds for Arena Stage’s arts-in-education initiatives.
The evening will begin with cocktails and dinner followed by the performance, which will also feature prominent leaders from Capitol Hill. Jones and Rep. Dicks will be receiving the American Artist and American Voice Awards, respectively, for their contributions to the national arts community. Swingin’ will culminate with a post-performance reception. Additional performers will be announced at a later date.
Show and reception tickets are $100.00. Tickets to the dinner, show and reception begin at $500.00.
