 | | Bryan Batt | Broadway performer Bryan Batt (Beauty and the Beast, Seussical, Saturday Night Fever) will host "Gimme a Break III," the Transport Group's annual gala, on Monday, October 27 at the Culture Project (45 Bleecker Street). All proceeds from the event will go toward Transport Group's production of the Leslie Becker-Michael Hunsacker musical Fetching Water, set to open in April 2004.
At the gala, more than 20 theater luminaries will perform the songs that first brought them to the attention of theater audiences. Among those scheduled to appear are Andrea Burns, Danny Burstein, Liz Callaway, Lewis Cleale, Mary Bond Davis, Taina Elg, Peggy Gordon, Jennifer Gambatese, Chester Gregory, Jackie Hoffman, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Michael John LaChiusa, Rebecca Luker, Aja Maria, Matt Morrison, Marni Nixon, Peter Scolari, Tommy Tune, and Barbara Walsh.
