 | | Alfre Woodard | Alfre Woodard, who has won Emmy Awards for her television performances in Miss Evers' Boys, L.A. Law, and Hill Street Blues, will make her Broadway debut this season in Drowning Crow, an adaptation of Anton Chekhov's The Seagull by Regina Taylor (Crowns).
Woodard has appeared Off-Broadway in such shows as The Winter's Tale, A Map of the World, 2 by South, and So Nice, They Named it Twice. She joins previously announced cast member Anthony Mackie (the film 8 Mile) in Drowning Crow, which will be directed by Marion McClinton. The show is scheduled to begin previews at the Biltmore Theatre on January 29, 2004 and to open officially on February 19.
