(© Joseph Marzullo/WENN) | New music from composers Kirsten Childs, Scott Frankel, and Joseph Thalken will be presented at the BAMcafe at the Brooklyn Academy of Music at 8pm on Monday, June 2 as part of the 2008 Sundance Institute at BAM, to run May 29-June 8. The evening will feature performances by Broadway stars, including Rebecca Luker, and excerpts from monologist Josh Kornbluth's Citizen Josh.
The event will also include screenings of over 50 feature films, short films, and documentaries, including Clark Gregg's Choke, starring Sam Rockwell and Anjelica Huston; Courtney Hunt's Frozen River, starring Melissa Leo and Michael O'Keefe; Chen Zhi-Sheng's Dark Matter, starring Meryl Streep and Aidan Quinn; and Gregg Araki's Smiley Face, starring Anna Faris, John Krasinski, and Adam Brody.
There will also be free concerts by pianist Anthony de Mare, the rock band Anvil, and the collective Chien du Faience, along with screenplay readings, art installations, and Q&A sessions.
