Louise Pitre, Judy Blazer and other cast members from Goodspeed Musicals’ production of Mame met the press Tuesday, March 13 at Pearl Studios. The production will run at the Goodspeed Opera House, April 20 – July 1.
Pitre will star in the title role of the classic musical, which features music and lyrics by Jerry Herman, a book by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee, and is based on the novel by Patrick Dennis and Lawrence and Lee’s play Auntie Mame.
She is joined by Judy Blazer (Vera), Kirsten Wyatt (Agnes Gooch), Lucas Schiltz (Young Patrick), Charles Hagerty (Older Patrick), Eli Baker, James Beaman, Paul Carlin, James Lloyd, James Seol, Erin Denman, Alan Gillespie, Beau Landry, Peter Leskowicz, Denise Lute, Eric Jon Malhum, Mary Jo McConnell, Kim Sava, Melissa Ann Steadman, Kit Treece, Kellyn Uhl, John T. Wolfe, Brittany Bohn, and Nick Nerio.
Ray Roderick directs the production, which features choreography by Vince Pesce and musical direction by Michael O’Flaherty. The creative team includes James Youmans (scenic design), Gregg Barnes (costume design), Charlie Morrison (lighting design), Jay Hilton (sound design), William J. Thomas (assistant musical director), and Dan DeLange (orchestrations).
