Graciela Daniele will direct a new musical version of Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach, to run October 21 – November 14 at Goodspeed Musicals’ Norma Terris Theatre in Chester, CT. Choreography for the production will be by Pilobolus Dance Theater.

With music by Justin Paul, lyrics by Benj Paek and a book by Allen McDonald, the show focuses on a young boy who longs for a real family after he’s been shipped off to live with his wretched aunts. When he discovers a magical giant peach filled with a mix of fantastical creatures, he embarks on an adventure sailing across the sea to distant lands.

Tony Award nominee Daniele’s Broadway directing credits include Chita Rivera: The Dancer’s Life, Once on This Island, Ragtime and the 1999 revival of Annie Get Your Gun. As a performer she was seen in the original Broadway casts of Chicago, Follies, Coco, and Promises, Promises, among others.
