Cabaret star Klea Blackhurst and Broadway veterans Ashley Brown and Tony Sheldon will head the cast of Goodspeed Musicals' upcoming staging of Jerry Herman and Michael Stewart's Hello, Dolly! The production will run June 28-September 8 at the Goodspeed Opera House under the direction of Daniel Goldstein.

Blackhurst, who has recently been seen in the York Theatre's Happy Hunting and in the world premiere of the new musical The Nutty Professor, will take on the title role of meddling matchmaker Dolly Gallagher Levi. Brown, best known for her work in Broadway's Mary Poppins, will play the widowed hat seller Irene Molloy, with Priscilla Queen of the Desert Tony Award nominee Sheldon as the blustery half-a-millionaire hay-and-feed seller, Horace Vandergelder.

Additionally, the principal company will feature Jeremy Morse as Barnaby Tucker, Spencer Moses as Cornelius Hackl, Brooke Shapiro as Ermengarde, Charles MacEachern as Ambrose Kemper, and Catherine Blades as Minnie Fay. The company also includes Maddy Apple, Will Burton, Jack Doyle, Steve Geary, Drew Humphrey, Matthew Kilgore, Frankie Paparone, Kristyn Pope, Robbie Smith, Kathryn Lin Terza, Melodie Wolford, Melissa Chaty, and Gregory Dassonville.

Joining Goldstein on the creative team are Kelli Barclay (choreographer), Michael O'Flaherty (musical director), Dan DeLanger (orchestrator), F. Wade Russo (assistant musical director), Adrian W. Jones (scenic designer), Wade Laboissonniere (costume designer), Jason Lyons (lighting designer), and Jay Hilton (sound designer).

Inspired by Thornton Wilder's play The Merchant of Yonkers (which was later revised and retitled The Matchmaker), Hello, Dolly! features showtune classics including "Put On Your Sunday Clothes," "Before the Parade Passes By," "It Takes A Woman," and the legendary title number.
