Casting announced for Teller and Aaron Posner's Macbeth at Chicago Shakespeare

The pair previously collaborated on Chicago Shakespeare’s 2015 production of ”The Tempest”.

Chicago Shakespeare Theater has announced the cast and creative team for its upcoming production of Macbeth, adapted and directed by Teller and Aaron Posner. The show is set to run April 25-June 24.

Macbeth will star Ian Merrill Peakes as Macbeth and Chaon Cross as Lady Macbeth. The cast will also include Adam Wesley Brown, McKinley Carter, Chaon Cross, Kyle Curry, Christopher Donahue, Theo Germaine, Jennifer Latimore, Ronnie Malley, Matthew Floyd Miller, Austin Molinaro, Emily Ann Nichelson, Reilly Oh, Ian Merrill Peakes, Sam Pearson, Cage Sebastian Pierre, Edgar Miguel Sanchez, Timothy D. Stickney, Samuel Taylor, Bret Tuomi, Andrew White, Micah Wilson, LiSean McElrath, Alexander James Poe, and Dylan Obrochta.

Teller and Aaron Posner, who are coadapters and directors, previously colaborated on CST’s The Tempest. Their production of Macbeth is described as follows: "Shakespeare’s psychological thriller immerses audiences in a world of dark magic and ambition, delving into the twisted psyches of the ultimate power-hungry couple."

The creative team will feature Daniel Conway (set designer), Mara Blumenfeld (costume designer), Thom Weaver (lighting designer), Johnny Thompson (magic designer), Andre Pluess (sound designer, composer, original orchestrations) and Richard Jarvie (wig and makeup designer).
