E. Faye Butler, Felicia Fields et al. Set for Goodman Theatre’s Crowns

Casting has been announced for the 10th anniversary production of Regina Taylor’s Crowns, to be presented at the Goodman Theatre, June 30-August 5, 2012. Taylor will direct.

In this gospel-infused musical work, when Brooklyn-born Yolanda relocates to the South after the death of her brother, she finds strength in the tales of the wise women who surround her — and the powerful rituals connected to their dazzling hats.

The cast will feature E. Faye Butler as Mabel, Felicia Fields as Mother Shaw and Jasondra
Johnson as Velma.
