The Chicago production of Jersey Boys, currently running at the Bank of America Theatre, is set to celebrate the show’s first anniversary in the windy city with a series of public events. Festivities will take place on the official anniversary of the production, October 14.

A new block of tickets for performances through April 12, 2009 will go on-sale to the public at 10:00 am. The Jersey Boys cast will host a city-wide Pizza Party from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm featuring 4,000 complimentary slices of Home Run Inn Pizza. During the party, the public can stop at Bank of America Theatre (18 W. Monroe St.), Couch Place – James M. Nederlander Way (State St. between Lake and Randolph), Pioneer Court (401 N Michigan Ave), or the Illinois Center Plaza (111 E. Wacker) to meet cast members and pick up a free slice.

The festivities will continue with the official anniversary performance at 7:30 pm, which will feature a special Four Seasons style arrangement of “My Kind of Town” after the curtain call. Ticket holders will also be treated to refreshments from Home Run Inn Pizza, Eli’s Cheesecake, and Coca-Cola. In related news, for each ticket purchased to an October performance the show will donate a dollar to the VH1 Save The Music Foundation.
