Work by Carson Kreitzer, Stew, Paul Oakley Stovall, et al. Featured in About Face’s XYZ Festival

About Face Theatre has announced further programming and casting details for its annual XYZ Festival, to run October 8-24 in at The Flat Iron.

As previously announced, the Festival will include Carson Kreitzer’s Tiny Rooms (October 8-10). The play, to be directed by Megan Carney, has been inspired by the Thorne Rooms at the Art Institute of Chicago and will feature Kirsten Fitzgerald, Jennifer Avery, and Joe Wyckoff. Puppet designs for the piece will be by Chelsea Warren.

Also on the Festival schedule is Paul Oakley Stovall’s Clear (October 22-24), which will replace the previously reported dance/theater piece from Patrick Andrews. Clear, which has additional music by Stew, Ryan Link and Christo Willis, is a concert event that focuses on the spiritual in computerized times.

In addition, the XYZ Festival will include a one-night-only reading of Tanya Saracho’s Mala HIerba (October 15), which will feature Yadira Correa, Christina Nieves, Yunuen OSeguera Pardo, Isabel Quintero, which will be followed by a special performance party hosted by DoubleDJ and curated by Jane Beachy.
