Andrea Marcovicci will make her first appearance on the hit ABC daytime drama General Hospital on September 3. Her character, Sophia, will be involved with the characters of Sonny and Brenda, played by Maurice Benard and Vanessa Marcil Giovinozza, who returns to the series on August 11 after a multi-year absence.

Marcovicci's upcoming cabaret gigs include a benefit for the Copland House in Merestead on August 21 in Mount Kisco, her traditional November-December engagement at the Algonquin Hotel Oak Room in New York, and a two-week appearance in January at the Royal Room in the Colony Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida.

She has appeared on Broadway in such shows as Ambassador and Any Given Day, and appeared frequently in films and on television, including the daytime drama Love is a Many Splendored Thing.
