American Theater Company Announces 2012-2013 Season

American Theater Company has announced the productions planned for its 2012-2013 season.

The season will kick off with two plays that explore themes of mystery and faith, Doubt by John Patrick Shanley and Agnes of God by John Peilmeier, performed in rotating repertory from September 6-October 28 and featuring ATC ensemble member Sadieh Rifai. For the holiday, ATC will present a holiday repertory of The Wizard of Oz featuring music from the MGM score and It’s a Wonderful Life, running November 15-December 30. Jason W. Gerace will direct.

As the season continues, PJ Paparelli will direct the world premiere of his revised version of Stephen Karam and PJ Paparelli’s columbinus (January 25-February 24), based on interviews with teenagers across the country and survivors of the Columbine shooting. The season’s final offering will be Galt MacDermot, James Rado, and Gerome Ragni’s controversial rock musical Hair (April 26-June 16), directed by PJ Paparelli.
