Quentin Earl Darrington, Cory Goodrich, Valisia Lakae, et al. Set for Ragtime at Drury Lane Oakbrook

Casting has been announced for the Drury Lane Oakbrook production of Ragtime, to run March 18 – May 23. Rachel Rockwell will direct and choreograph.

With music by Stephen Flaherty, lyrics by Lynn Ahrens and a book by Terrence McNally, the musical will feature Quentin Earl Darrington (Coalhouse Walker), Valisia Lakae (Sarah), Larry Adams (Father), Don Forston (J.P. Morgan), Cory Goodrich (Mother), Robert Hildreth (Grandfather), James Earl Jones II (Booker T. Washington), Mark David Kaplan (Tateh), George Keating (Stanford White), Michael Lindner (Willie Conklin), Cathy Lord (Emma Goldman), Max Quinlan (Mother’s Younger Brother), Summer Smart (Evelyn Nesbit), Stef Tovar as (Harry Houdini), and Jonathan Weir (Henry Ford). The ensemble will include Anne Acker, Melody Betts, Karen Burthwright, Gary Carlson, McKinley Carter, Jameson Cooper, Dwelvan David, Stephane Duret, Caitlainne Gurreri, Brandon Koller, Ann McMann, Genevieve Perrino, Karen Richardson, Travis Turner, and George Wolff.

Additionally, Daniel Coonley and Zachary Keller will share the role of “The Little Boy,” Jennifer Baker and Elianna Schnittman will share the role of “The Little Girl,” and Justin Hurst and Gabriel Simpson will share the role of “Young Coalhouse.”

The creative team will include Kevin Depinet (scenic design), Jesse Klu (lighting design), and Garth Helm (sound design). The production will use Santo Loquasto’s costumes from the original 1998 production, with additional costume design by Brenda Winstead.
