Motherhood the Musical to Play Royal George Theatre in March

Sue Fabisch’s Motherhood the Musical will play the Royal George Theatre, beginning performances March 30, in anticipation of an official opening on April 12. Lisa Shriver will direct and choreograph the production, which will have music direction by Johnny Rodgers.

The show looks at the joys and trials of child-reading from the perspectives of Amy, a soon-to-be first-time mom; Barb, an over-worked, underpaid, stressed-out mother of five; Brooke, a lawyer who works too much and barely sees her kids; and Tasha, a single mom struggling to balance work, family and a divorce. Casting will be announced in the near future.

Motherhood the Musical premiered in Ft. Lauderdale, FL in 2010. It has since been seen in cities around the country. In addition, the show is currently touring Australia.
