Joffrey Ballet to Open Chicago Season with Lar Lubovitch’s Othello

The Joffrey Ballet, under the leadership of artistic director Ashley Wheater, will begin its season with the local premiere of Lar Lubovitch’s Othello, October 14-25.
The ballet, based on the classic play by William Shakespeare, is set to a score by Academy Award winner Elliot Goldenthal.

The season will also include the holiday favorite, The Nutcracker (December 11-27); Frederick Ashton’s production of Cinderella (February 17-28); and a revival of Gerald Arpino’s Reflections (April 28-May 9).
