Flashback Friday: Hairspray Live! Stars Kristin Chenoweth and Sean Hayes Shared the Stage in Promises, Promises

Two days ago, it was announced that Broadway's current An Act of God star, Sean Hayes, will join the cast of NBC's Hairspray Live! as dress shop owner Mr. Pinky. His casting was announced at the same time as that of fellow Broadway veteran Rosie O'Donnell (Fiddler on the Roof). The pair joins a host of other stars of the Great White Way, including Ariana Grande (13), Jennifer Hudson (The Color Purple), and Martin Short (It's Only a Play).

But for astute Broadway fans, perhaps the most exciting aspect of the news is that it will reunite Hayes with his Promises, Promises love interest Kristen Chenoweth (who will play Hairspray's Velma Von Tussle). Though the two are unlikely to share much screen time, we're sure they'll have plenty of opportunities on set to relive magical moments, like this time they each decided "I'll Never Fall in Love Again" while visiting ABC's The View.
