Full casting has been announced for the Broadway production of Margaret Edson’s Wit, to be presented by Manhattan Theatre Club at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre, January 5-March 11, with an opening on January 26. Lynne Meadow will direct.

Wit follows brilliant and exacting poetry professor Vivian Bearing as she undergoes experimental treatment for cancer. A scholar who devoted her life to academia, she must now face the irony and injustice of becoming the subject of research.

As previously reported, Cynthia Nixon will star as Vivian Bearing. She will be joined by Pun Bandhu (Technician), Suzanne Bertish (E.M. Ashford), Michael Countryman (Harvey Kelekian/Mr. Bearing), Jessica Dickey (Technician), Chiké Johnson (Technician), Greg Keller (Jason Posner), Carra Patterson (Susie Monahan), and Zachary Spicer (Technician).

The creative team will include Santo Loquasto (scenic design), Jennifer von Mayrhauser (costume design), Peter Kaczorowski (lighting design), and Jill BC Du Boff (sound design).
