Ron Eldard will join the Broadway cast of John Patrick Shanley's Doubt in the role of Father Flynn, beginning on January 10. That same day, Eileen Atkins will take over as Sister Aloysius. As previously reported by TheaterMania, current stars Brian F. O'Byrne and Cherry Jones will leave the show on January 8.

Eldard has appeared in Death of a Salesman, On the Waterfront, and Biloxi Blues on Broadway, and in the Off-Broadway production of Neil LaBute's Bash. He is best known for his TV work, including the series Blind Justice and E.R..

Doubt has won every major theatrical award, including the Pulitzer Prize, Tony Award, Drama Desk Award, Outer Critics Circle Award, Obie Award, Lucille Lortel Award, and Drama Critics Circle Award. Directed by Doug Hughes, the Broadway production co-stars Adriane Lenox and Heather Goldenhersh.
