Hair stars Gavin Creel and Will Swenson had their portraits added to Sardi's Wall of Fame on Wednesday, September 29.
The pair, who respectively play the roles of Claude and Berger in the show, were joined by much of the current Hair cast, as well as Swenson's girlfriend, four-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald,Jonathan Groff, who played the role of Claude in the recent Shakespeare in the Park production of Hair, and Swenson's ex-Rock of Ages co-stars Constantine Maroulis, Mitchell Jarvis, Lauren Molina, Wesley Taylor, and Angel Reed.
In related news, Louise Hirschfeld -- widow of the legendary caricaturist Al Hirschfeld -- joined the Hair cast on-stage after the September 29 matinee to present a copy of Hirschfeld's 1968 drawing of the original Broadway cast.
