Baby It’s You to Close on Broadway September 4

The Broadway production of the new musical Baby It’s You!, at the Broadhurst Theatre, will close following the Sunday, September 4 matinee. As of that date, it will have played 33 previews and 151 regular performances.

The musical is inspired by the true story of Florence Greenberg, the woman who in the late 1950’s took the male-dominated music industry by storm. It is conceived by Floyd Mutrux, directed by Mutrux and Sheldon Epps, and written by Mutrux and Colin Escott, with musical supervision and arrangements by Rahn Coleman, orchestrations by Don Sebesky and musical direction by Shelton Becton.

Tony Award winner Beth Leavel stars as Florence Greenberg, along with Erica Ash, Kelli Barrett, Kyra Da Costa, Erica Dorfler, Geno Henderson, Jahi A. Kearse, Allan Louis, Barry Pearl, Christina Sajous, Crystal Starr and Brandon Uranowitz.

The musical features doo-wop, pop and rock ‘n’ roll classic hits such as “Dedicated To The One I Love,” “Soldier Boy,” “Duke Of Earl,” “He’s So Fine,” “I Say A Little Prayer,” “It’s My Party,” “Louie Louie,” “Mama Said,” “Shout,” “Tonight’s The Night,” “I Met Him On A Sunday,” “Rockin’ Robin,” and “Twist and Shout.”
