Mary-Louise Parker will star in a new Broadway production of Hedda Gabler by Henrik Ibsen, beginning at the Roundabout Theatre's American Airlines Theater on January 6. The production, which will open on January 25, features a new adaptation by Christopher Shinn and will be directed by Ian Rickson. Additional cast members and the design team will be announced shortly.

Rickson, the former head of the Royal Court Theatre, will also be represented this season on Broadway by The Seagull starring Kristin Scott-Thomas. Shinn's plays include Dying City and Four.

Parker received the Tony Award for Proof and was last seen on Broadway in Reckless. Her many stage credits include Dead Man's Cell Phone, How I Learned to Drive, and Prelude to a Kiss. She currently stars on Showtime's Weeds and received an Emmy Award for Angels in America.

The Roundabout's Broadway season will also include revivals of A Man for All Seasons, Pal Joey and Dancin'. Its Off-Broadway offerings will include Streamers, Distracted, and The Language of Trees.
