A satire about Hollywood that focuses on a homosexual movie star and his win-at-all-costs agent, the play is directed by Scott Ellis and stars Julie White, Tom Everett Scott, Johnny Galecki, and Ari Graynor. White won numerous awards for her performance in the Second Stage production and is considered a strong contender for the Tony Award.
In his TheaterMania review of the show, David Finkle wrote: "White's commanding performance distracts attention from a play that has no substance but is slicker than Allen Moyer's gliding, sliding set. What does Beane say about selling out that hasn't been said before? What is he saying about Hollywood downplaying homosexual love that hasn't been said before? Moreover, the four characters through whom he's trying to say these things are pretty but weightless."
