Stage and screen star Claire Danes has been named Harvard University’s Hasty Pudding Theatricals Society’s Woman of the Year, according to published reports. She will be honored by the group on January 26.
Danes’ stage credits include Pygmalion, The Vagina Monologues, Edith & Jenny, and Christina Olson: American Model.
She won an Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award, among many other honors, for her work in the title role of HBO’s Temple Grandin, and also received the Golden Globe for her current Showtime series,Homeland, and ABC’s My So-Called Life.
