Casting, Creative Team Set for The Seagull at American Repertory

Casting information has been announced for the American Repertory Theatre production of Anton Chekhov’s The Seagull, January 10-February 1, set for the Loeb Drama Center with direction by János Szász.

Chekhov’s tragicomedy of life and art explores the complex relationships of Irina Nikolayevna Arkadina, a famous but aging actress, and her family over the years at her brother’s country estate. The cast will feature Thomas Derrah as Dorin, Jeremy Geidt as Sorin, Karen MacDonald as Arkadina, Remo Airaldi as Shamrayev, Mickey Solis as Konstantin, Molly Ward as Nina, Brian Dykstra as Trigorin, Cheryl D. Singleton as Paulina, Shawn Cody as Medvedenko, and Nina Kassa as Masha.

The creative team will include Christopher Akerlind (lighting design), Riccardo Hernandez (set design), David Remedios (sound design), and David Zinn (costume design).
